Roy helped mold me into the man I am today. He was more like a father figure to me than friend. Because of Roy I bought my first and second home. He gave me many life lessons along the way. When Kim and I married, he and Polly were there and smoked and provided the brisket for our reception. Almost 9 years later I still have an ice chest with his name on it. It is times like today that make living away so hard. I couldn't be there for Roy today but I was there in heart and spirit. Rest in love and peace my friend. Ty

We were heart broken to hear about Roy. We loved him and have so many fond memories of our time spent with him. You will be in our prayers. Love
We will miss your friendship. Most important thing you taught by unfortunate example, don't go out on the porch barefoot.
You went out on your concrete porch in the dark and a snake bit you that was warming on the porch. Yep, to this day, every night I take the dog out, light goes on and my shoes are on.
Miss you already. Your sense of humor and our mutual interests made for almost daily contact on Facebook.
Thanks for serving our community as a police and fireman.
Polly,
I'm so sorry to hear about Roy.My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
