The day our Realtor took us to view a house on Derby, she informed us that two retired gentlemen kept on eye on everything. One being Mr Molder and the other Mr WIllie. Over the last six years, countless afternoons involved me backing into my driveway and waving to Mr Molder and Mr WIllie across the street as they were sitting in lawn chairs visiting. My wife and I grew accustomed to looking for and usually seeing Mr WIllie multiple times a day. Many days I would wave to him that morning, coming home for lunch, and even returning home at the end of the day. We will truly miss our great neighbor and friend. We have been blessed to have known him and have him in our lives. Thank you, Mr. WIllie.

Willie was my first supervisor in law enforcement. He was a good friend and someone that you could talk to. Had a lot of good times with him and he will be missed.
Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Willie Richards, a dedicated public servant, law enforcement professional, and Arkansan. I knew Willie during his ATC time, and worked with him after the transition to the Highway Police.

His influence on the development of commercial vehicle enforcement will stand as a testament to his career. The fond remembrances by his friends will stand as a testament to his approach to others. The sad pain of loss felt by his family stands as a testament of his love of family.

May God give you all peace.

George

Carolyn and family, yall are in our prayers! I didn't get to see Willie much over the last several years, but our fishing memories, coffee at the Travel Air and working the streets will always be there. Willie was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless you all !

Carolyn, Mark, and family. I send my deepest sympathy to all of you for the loss of Willie. He was a great guy, and man that loved his wife and son. We have had many good laughs, talked politics for hours, and several years deer hunting together. All the years we worked together at D.O.T was years I'll never forget. I always considered him a close friend and Willie will be missed by many. Rest in peace (Rascal) Willie....and thanks for all the good times.!!

I had known of Wille for several years but was never around him that much until my wife and I moved to Jonesboro in 2008. After moving into our house I learned Wille lived just four houses up the street. From the time we moved in until the night before he went to be with the lord, we quickly became close friends and spent many hours sitting in our lawn chairs solving all the world problems. I will truly miss my very close friend.
. Our neighbor hood will not be the same without him.

I am so sorry to hear of Willie passing, Heaven just got another angel.I always thought a lot of Willie, He just seem to be the go man of that whole family to keep the family. I have been out of the family 46 years but I still kept in touch with his sisters. All of you will be in our prayers always.
