Donnie Howard Pankey, age 61, of Snow Lake, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Marianna, Arkansas after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Pankey was born March 18, 1955 at Elaine, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Mildred Pankey. He worked as a farmer and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Mellwood. Mr. Pankey was a hard worker but in his spare time he enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting and fishing.
He is survived by three daughters, Amanda Riddell (Paul) of Helena, Aimee Jackson (Joe) of Holly Grove and Jennifer Pankey of Clarksville; seven grandchildren, Sawyer and Tanner Smith, Landen Paul, Owen and Ella Riddell and Case and Annaline Jackson; two sisters, Elizabeth and Linda; and four brothers, Bobby, Billy, Ronnie and Rickey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Tracey Lynn Smith; one sister, Glenda Faye; and one brother, Sonny.
A service for Donnie Pankey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Nathan Gorman will officiate.
Pallbearers are Dewayne Woodyard, Leonard Rohrscheib, Carl Woodyard, Barry Pankey, Aric Pankey, Jeremy Speck, Mike Montgomery and Norman Yarbrough. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Wood and John David Harper.
Memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church.
