Berniece L. Melton age 93 of Yellville passed away on Thursday, April 28th in the Apple Ridge Health and Rehab Center in Harrison, Arkansas. Berniece was born at Yellville, Arkansas on November 15, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Vernon and Sarah Helen (Cunningham) Hall. Berniece was a retired clerk for the United States Postal Service. She married Doyne Melton on October 18, 1942; he preceded her in death on December 17, 2003. Berniece attended the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Melton is survived by two sons:
Bill Melton and his wife, Pat of Yellville, Arkansas
Dr. Joe Melton and his wife, Linda of Harrison, Arkansas
One sister: Mrs. Imogene Phillips of Commerce, Okla.
Berniece is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Janet Cripe, Jeffrey Melton, Brandi Melton, Bradley Melton, and Laura Melton. 2 Great-Grandchildren are also surviving Mrs. Melton; Katie Cripe and Aylin Melton. Mrs. Berniece also has 2 step-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Melton will be held at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church just before the services from 1:00 - 2:30 pm.
Graveside services will be held at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Yellville, Arkansas on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Bro. Kem Reeder will be officiating the services.
Serving as pallbearers will be Janet Cripe, Sid Cripe, Jeffrey Melton, Brandi Melton, Bradley Melton, Laura Melton, Ashley Cutshall, Cody Cutshall and Robert Holmes.

Joe, I am sorry for the loss of your mother, I remember her from growing up in Ralph,she was always very kind to me3
