James Nelson Thomas, 62, of Trumann, passed away April 16, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born August 4, 1953 in Harrisburg to the late George and Sammie Dempsey Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a welder for Delta and Sun Industries. He was of the Baptist belief and a member of the Masonic Lodge #184. He loved hunting, fishing, and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Thomas; two sons, Joseph (Melanie) Thomas and Barry Wayne (Crystal) Barber; a daughter, Billie Jo (Stephen) Hammell; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Thomas; and four sisters, Edna Holt, Patricia Pommell, Sandra Graham and Tanya McClelland.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro. Interment will follow at Nichol's Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
James Mason brethren will officiate the service and serve as pallbearers.
