Gary Van Dossett Jr., 50, of Floral, died Friday, April 15, 2016, at his home.

He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on February 22, 1966 to Gary Van Dossett Sr. and Patsy (Feagin) Dossett. Gary was a self-employed wood worker and of the Baptist faith.

He was a good-hearted man who would help anyone that needed help. He loved to hunt, fish, and be out in the woods. Other things he liked to do was cooking and watching NASCAR. His children were the most important thing to him and he was very protective of them.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra (Brackett) Dossett of the home; his daughters, Ashlyn Dossett-Sprouse and husband, Jason, of Heber Springs and Jordin Dossett of Floral; two grandchildren, Sydney Sprouse and future baby Sprouse. Other survivors include his brother, James Dossett and wife, Pam, of Floral; sisters, Michelle Reesor and husband, Jerry, and Amanda Teague and her husband, James, all of Batesville; sisters-in-law, Gina Walling and her husband, Mike, and Terri Harris and her husband, David; an aunt and uncle, Joe and Betty Ewell; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Oah & Winnie (Tatum) Dossett and Leslie and Verneil (Pickens) Feagin.

Pallbearers will be Mike Walling, Clint Reesor, Cameron Reesor, James Teague, Jerry Reesor, and Chris Feagin. Honorary pallbearers are David Harris and Dustin Bishop.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at the First Baptist Church in Concord. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Floral under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Public visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
