Clarence Julion Cowell, 72 of Lamar, passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 in Little Rock. Mr. Cowell was born June 21, 1943 in Lamar to Mr. Linzie V. and Dovie (Porter) Cowell. Clarence was a member and deacon of Second Baptist Church. He was a horse Trainer and truck driver. Clarence loved Native American Artifacts, the Cherokee Heritage, camping, hunting, fishing, and anything to do with being outdoors. Mr. Cowell is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Frances Daniel, and Doris Ann Havener; and one brother, Darrell Cowell.
Mr. Cowell is survived by his wife, Betty (Hutchins) Cowell; two daughters, Vicky Cowell Cagle of Lamar, and Julie and John Millard of Clarksville; two sons, Jerry and Paula Cowell of Ozone, and Travis Clarence Cowell of Lamar; three brothers, Donny Cowell of Low Gap, Calvin Cowell of Lutherville, and Dean Cowell of Lamar; two sisters, Cathy McBride of Ozark, MO., and Bessie Morland of Low Gap; fourteen grandchildren, Alicia Cole, Josh Bean, Amber Williams, Taletha Moore, Tommy Elps, Roy Cagle, Nathan Bean, Caleb Bean, Courtney Cowell, Dakota Cowell, Joseph Cowell, Rocky Cowell, PJ Cowell, and Jeremiah Lascelles; fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Cowell will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 8, 2016 at the Second Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Dicus officiating. Burial will follow in the Minnow Creek Cemetery with Jeff Cole, John Moore, Josh Williams, Harvey Cowell, Will Cowell and Lee Youngblood serving as pallbearers.

You still are an Inspirational man with good character good morals wonderful family man. Your everything a man should be. I respect you for that. Your home now with our father.
