Billy Wayne Smith, 81of Charleston, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 in Charleston. He was born on July 6, 1934 in Cecil, Arkansas to his parents, Fred Luther and Ora Florence (Williams) Smith. He graduated from County Line High School in 1954 and retired from Civil Service where he was an aircraft maintenance supervisor and served in the United States Army in 1957.
He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Veneda (Tucker) Smith of Charleston; one son, Douglas Smith and wife Melinda of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Karen Phillips and husband Les of Charleston and Stacy Chadli and husband Chahid of Greenwood; one sister, Eula Mae Huffman of Ratcliff; three grandsons, Brody Smith and wife Ladora of Ratcliff, Hayden Phillips of Charleston, and Garrett Phillips of Charleston and one great-grandson, Knox Smith of Ratcliff.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris officiated by Todd Hales and Dr. James Burgess. Burial will follow in Corley Cemetery under the direction of Roller Funeral Home. Online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/paris
