Bobbie G. Grissom, 76, a resident of Paris passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his home.

He was born January 21, 1940, at Fort Cobb, Oklahoma to the late Wendell A. and Opal Irene Duncan Grissom. Bobbie served as an aircraft mechanic for nine years in the United States Air Force. He married Mary Katherine Harger on January 2, 1965, at Huntsville. After his military service, he worked for American Airlines as an aircraft mechanic. In the last 15 years of Bobbie's career he worked as a truck driver. Bobbie is of the Baptist faith and was a 32nd degree mason. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting toys, especially clowns and cars. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Eugene Brasier; a son-in-law, Calvin Beckett; his father-in law, Arden Harger; a brother-in-law, Phil Bowen and a nephew, Phillip Bowen.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Mary K. (Harger) Grissom or Paris; a son, Wendell Grissom of McAlister, Oklahoma; two daughters, Tina M. Hanes and her husband, Larry of Moundsville, Alabama and Gloria D. Beckett of Ozark; a sister, Janelle Bowen of Denver, Colorado; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charles and Mary Harger; four granddaughters; Rachel Mentzer and her husband, Robin, Courtney Aldridge and her husband, Josh, April McKee and her husband, John and Angela Garica and her husband, Bonifacio; 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tammy Frederick officiating. Burial with military honors provided by the United States Air Force will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
