Charles Gilbert Ihle Sr., 87 of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 in Paris. He was born on January 13, 1929 in Paris to his parents Leo Joseph and Bertha Claire (Litsch) Ihle. Charles was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked for many years as a truck driver and retired from Gerber Foods as a forklift operator.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo Joseph and Bertha Claire (Litsch) Ihle; one brother, Joseph Leo Ihle; one step-son, Steve Pledger and one granddaughter, Jennifer Golden.

He is survived by his wife of forty years, Alene (Pledger) Ihle; three sons, Charles Ihle Jr. of Magazine, Joe Ihle of Caulksville and Jim Ihle of Paris; two step-sons, Tim Pledger of Altus and Doug Pledger of Altus; one step-daughter, Paula Weeks of Altus; two sisters, Anna Ullrich of Dallas and Mildred Stehle of Little Rock; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Eugene Luke O.S.B.. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Ihle, Chris Ihle, Adam Ihle, Adam Eckelhoff, Zack Weeks and Ed Stehle.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Fletcher, Jim Fletcher and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
