Robert M. Coffman, 68, of Greenbrier passed from this life on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was born on August 24, 1947 in Herlong, CA to the late Haulie B. Coffman and Evelyn E. Hendrie. He was also preceded in death by his wife Eightha June Coffman.

Robert enlisted in the United Sates Army when he was seventeen. He served two tours in Vietnam and retired as an E7/Sergeant First Class after 22 years. Robert went to work for Walmart and then retired at 62. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Commander of Post 2259. As a member of the VFW he was part of the Cooties and regularly traveled to the VA hospital in Little Rock and Fayetteville to visit veterans and took care of the whole District 6 area.

He is survived by two sons, Robert M. Coffman II of Katy, TX and Matthew C. Coffman of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Gianna, Chloe; five sisters, Barbara Johnson, Martha Wilkinson (William), Margaret Rojas, Ramona Maxwell (Dale) and Toni Lielhom (Kevin); three brothers, Don Coffman (Betty), Bun Coffman (Robin), and David Coffman (Melissa); six stepchildren, Jimmy (Angie), Debbi, Donna, Buddy (Brandie), Racy (Marice), Winston; 32 step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be from 4:00 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas.

To the Coffman family I send my condolences and prayers. Mr. Coffman was a very kind person and I always enjoyed the time I spent with him and June when we went to the VA Hospital in North Little Rock. He will be dearly missed.
