I was sorry to hear about the death of Ernest Mertin. He along with his brother, Tony, were two of the best carpenters that ever worked for Nabholz Constrution. T.J. Nahlen, our superintendent on several Subiaco projects always had high praises for the dedication to their profession, their productivity and quality of their work. We will keep Ernest and all of his family in our prayers.
God bless you all.,,, Bob Tyler
My Dad (George McClure) grew up with Ernest as his best friend. They shared many afternoon talks together in their older years talking about the good days. We lived beside Ernest's mom growing up in Prairie View and I remember this family as hard workers. They were always on the farm helping. We are sorry for your loss and pray you find comfort in knowing Ernest had a wonderful life. He will be missed!
Mike and Missy,
Sorry to hear about your loss. Remember many years ago when our dads worked together as carpenters.

Growing up in Shoal Creek, the Mertins were neighbors. In fact, I think Mike was newborn when they lived in the house on Old Military that the Gandy's now own. All good good people and hard workers. Prayers for the family.

Ern and his brother worked building our home in the seventies. Both were excellent carpenters and we thoroughly enjoyed watching their work and how much pride they had in doing a good job.
