Nora Athelene Lasley ''Nannie'' passed from this life on February 16, 2016. She was born in Mt Vernon on April 4, 1924 to the late Nora Jewell White and William Ceciel White. Athelene will now join her late husband Rayburn ''Poppie.'' She was also preceded in death by two brothers Jessie White ''Jabo'' and William Douglas White.
Nannie and Poppie were cattle farmers. Nannie always cooked homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast and tended a garden.
She is survived by her son William Quinten Lasley (Janiece) of Enola; daughter, Pam Carter (Keith) of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, Jeffery Lasley (Tabatha) of Enola, Brian Lasley of Enola, Julie Rhoden of Houston, TX, Chad Rhoden of Waco, TX and Jeremy Lasley of Odessa ,TX, nine great grandchildren; and two nieces.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola.
