Helen Gerald Deene Simons Mitchell, 90, of Conway passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2016. She was born September 7, 1925 in Alexandria, LA to the late Gerald and Helen Simons. She was also preceded in death by her husband Thedus ''Slick'' L. Mitchell; brother, Major Gerald Simons; and son, David Mitchell.

Helen retired from the Health and Science department at the University of Central Arkansas. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Mitchell (Donna) of Morrilton and Donald Mitchell (Vicki) of Conway; four grandchildren, Haley, Kirby, Jennifer, and Julie; three great grandchildren, Hadley, Hudson, and Knox; and sister, Betty Myers of San Diego, CA.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 6:00 8:00 p.m. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
