Barbara Shaw, 57, of Sherwood, passed away, Monday, February 8, 2016. She is survived by her husband Glen, three daughters; Angela, Brittany, and Cassandra, one son; Ryan, one brother; Gary Wright and one sister; Beverly Semm.
From her children: "Our mother Barbara Jean Shaw is the kindest woman we have ever met. We love her and miss her deeply. She is with the Lord and has an everlasting body that will never fail her again. Her spirit shines down on her friends and family and she is forever in our hearts."
A Memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tears, tears and more tears. My heart is breaking because you are gone from us. We have known one another for more than forty years. We lived not more than a half a mile from one another when we were children. I have slept at your house you and I were friends from scratch. You helped me get accepted at college in the "Upward Bound" program. We ran around as young teens and laughed and had the best of times. You came to see me not more than two years ago at my work, you and Donna Nowak. You came to my house after and we laughed so much and so hard. I talked and messaged you since then. I never knew you were going to leave us. I love you and miss you. my friend. God hold you in is loving arms. You are a precious soul.

Barbie was the love of my life, and I feel like the best half of myself is gone forever. I'm grateful that her passing was quick, peaceful, and most of all pain free, but I feel so shattered without her to talk to.
Your earthly trail has ended, and your eternal trail has just begun. I know you are with your loved ones, and that our departed furbabies were there to walk by your side into the light of Glory. I miss you horribly and I'll see you again when my earthly trail comes to an end. I love you Baby.....

Barbara and I are cousins. We also went to school together, when we were kids at Bethesda. We were out of touch with each other for quite a few years, but reunited through facebook recently. I am so sorry to hear of her passing, but I know in my heart she is in a better place, safe from all pain and suffering in the presence of our Lord and Savior.
