of Conway, AR
April 2, 1966 - December 24, 2015
Jimmy Owen Dalton, 49, of Conway went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 24, 2015. This Christmas, he was able to celebrate the birth of Christ walking the streets of gold with his Dad, who passed away this past July.
Jimmy was born on April 2, 1966 to the late Lewis Owen Dalton and Barbara Glover. Jimmy was a 1984 graduate of Ole Main High School in North Little Rock. He was at one time employed by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. He later went to work at Conway Regional Hospital. He recently went to work at Baptist Health in North Little Rock and was slated to transfer to the new Baptist Health in Conway in 2016.
Jimmy loved his girls; Tundra and Lightin'. He loved taking pictures whether it be birthdays, weddings, photos of his dogs or whatever it may be. You could definitely see his passion in each photo.
Jimmy loved people. He had the biggest heart and was blessed by God with a servant's spirit. He took so much pride in helping other people. Whether it be planning class reunions, making sure a patient in the hospital was comfortable or helping plan the funeral of a friend's family member, no detail was left out. There is no doubt Jimmy touched the lives of so many by the outpouring of so many wonderful comments posted on Facebook and expressed to the family.
Jimmy loved the Lord and his church. He loved his home church, Faith Baptist Church of North Little Rock, and he was currently a member of Central Baptist Church of Conway.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gyrvus Owen and Grace Matthews Dalton of Conway and just recently his father, Lewis Owen Dalton of Conway.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Gayle Glover of Vilonia; his stepmother, Judy Dalton of Conway; his sister, Connie Settle of North Little Rock; his nephew and his wife Zach and Shana Settle of Sherwood; his brother and his wife Bobby and Kari Dalton and niece, Logan, of Vilonia.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be at 1pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will follow in Marcus Hill Cemetery in Enola, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Dalton, Jeff Justice, Keith Justice, Oscar Martinez, Tim Morris and Zach Settle.
He was a kind and generous man as seen in the many tributes on this web site. He gave of himself as he always seemed going somewhere to help somebody. He always put himself last. He will be missed by his many friends.
you, my brother are missed
I worked with Jimmy at Baptist in North Little Rock. He and I were being trained at the same time to be transferred to different hospitals. Myself in Arkadelphia and him in Conway. He was super excited about the transition. I was shocked to hear of his passing. I will miss you my friend. Jimmy was always there when I would lock myself out of the office during lunch. I can hear him now "Eb, you left your keys again?" then a slight chuckle. To your family I offer my deepest condolences. Just working with him in the short period of time that we did I grew very fond of him. Rest easy now friend.

Jimmy and I went to school together and graduated from Ole Main back in 1984. We had recently reconnected and spoke or texted often. I am still in shock that you are gone my friend. You were one of the best and will be greatly missed. You impacted more people's lives than anyone will ever know. Rest in Peace!
We extend to the family of Jimmy Dalton our sincere sympathy and prayers. We remember the kindness, compassion and assistance he gave to the Landmark Baptist Church Family and the community of Vilonia, AR, after the EF4 tornado devastated Vilonia on April 27, 2014. One of the church members was a patient at Conway Regional Hospital for several days. Jimmy was very faithful to check on him. May our wonderful Lord bless you with his love, mercy and grace during this difficult to time.
