Dorothy Kelley

of Heber Spring, AR

July 7, 1939 - December 23, 2015

Dorothy ''Sue'' Kelley was born at home in Lakeside, Missouri on July 7, 1939, and left for her heavenly home on December 23, 2015. She was born to Eltinge Luke and Leona Sybeal Tarrant Burris. Her parents named her well. Dorothy means Gift of God and Sue means graceful lily. Her devotion to God and the grace in which she lived her life are unquestionable. We are not talking about some passive, sideline person of faith. She lived her life with passion, full of charm and beauty. Her idealism was forceful, but always tempered with gentle kindness and tender support of others. She taught us how to always do our best, stand up for ourselves, to have one another's backs, and somehow still hold all those around us in love. She was devoted to her children, and her children included those she worked with and those lucky enough to come within the circle of those she helped. She filled our lives with light, love and laughter that we will share for years to come. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kelley, granddaughter Caitlin Kelley Fuchs, her brother Charles Burris and sister Patricia Briebiesca. She is survived by her sons Martin, Jeff (Tracie), and Kyle Kelley; daughters Kim and Kristina Kelley (Eddy Rodriguez); grandchildren: Ryan (Katie), Jena´, Carter, Alec, Alex, Jacob, Keaton, Kelsey, Amelia, A'livia, and Jared Kelley, Courtney Adams, Casi Fuchs, and Janssen (Megan) and Madison Wiedower; great-grandchildren: Benjamin Fuchs, Ethan Riggs, Brayden and Aubree Adams, and Kason Holmes; siblings Louise Stapleton (Gene), Robert Burris (Betty), Richard Burris (Annie), Buddy Burris (Joyce), Sandi Zimmerman (Don), and Timothy Burris; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with entombment following at Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation is Sunday, December 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

It's with greatest honor to have known this precious lady. I pray the next time I see her, she will walk up and hug me and look up with her beautiful smile. It was many times that smile gave me comfort that things would be alright. Her love was unconditional and with great joy.
You will be missed, Grandma. Please smile down on us from above in peace.
Love always,
Brian Watkins

My condolences to Sue's entire family...and peace and comfort to you all.

I had the opportunity some years back to spend a few hours with Sue and Kim, sitting around Marty's kitchen table telling stories and just talking. It was just normal conversation, but comfortable, as if we'd known each other a long time. I look forward to doing that again in heaven some day!

Sincerely,

Jill

Your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May you have comfort from the scriptures like John 5:28-29 and Romans 24:15. We can be sure of this hope of a resurrection.
