Haskell R. Fagan, 105, of Conway went to be with his Lord on Thursday, December 10, 2015. He was born May 21, 1910 in Ravia, OK to the late Henry Edward and Susie Fagan. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ozella Fagan; twin daughters Izella and Ozella; two brothers, Edward and Paul Fagan; six sisters, Ethel Hutchison, Jessie Bean, Pearl Bates, Edna Stone, Dorothy Peters, and Emma Jo Burris.
He grew up and graduated from Ravia High School as a star mult-sport athlete and there he also married his late wife of 73 years, Ozella. He worked as a pipefitter during WW II in the shipyards of California and Okinawa. Ozella worked in the ammunition war factory. He worked for oil companies in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He moved to Conway in 1954. After 44 years of service he retired from Sun Oil Company in Conway. He was a 57 year long member of Robinson and Center Church of Christ. He was a Republican and a descendant of the Arkansas Confederate General James Fagan. His favorite hobbies were fishing, drawing wildlife, studying American-Indian history and collecting Indian relics.
He is survived by three sons, Wayne Fagan (Deborah), Phillip Fagan (Kathy), Bill Fagan (Dawn); daughter, Carolyn Vasilos (James); eleven grandchildren, Josh Fagan, Julie Merritt, Erin Trantham, John Fagan (Marsha), Drew Fagan, Will Fagan (Brook), Missy Payne (Rich), Jennifer Eller (Jason), Whitney Zachariason, David Zachariason and Katherine Vasilos; and nine great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Trent, Drake, Reed, Austin, Sophia, Penelope, Khalia, and Haskell David.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Robinson and Center Church of Christ in Conway with Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Conway.
