Max LaDon Johnson, 76, of Conway passed from this life on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was born March 30, 1939 in Damascus, AR to the late Jesse Hampton Johnson and Tennie Myrtle Odom Johnson. Max was also preceded in death by two sisters, Willa Dean Johnson and Billie Jean Johnson.

Max believed in working hard and saving money. He grew up working on his parent's dairy farm. He then went to work at Dean Milk Company. For many years he owned his own well drilling company, Johnson Drilling Company. His other jobs included working at Linn's Automotive Salvage and traveling the country delivering school buses for Ward Bus Company. When he wasn't working, Max enjoyed traveling and deer hunting.

He is survived by his daughter Jennifer LaDon Day (Blake) of Conway; a granddaughter Payton; three grandsons, Carson, Ransom, and Hampton; Jennifer's mother, Laverne Johnson; cousins, Danny Linn, Darrell Odom, and Doyle Odom; his closest friends who were like family, Tom Lindsey, Dwayne Stone, Bob Coney, Joe Hoyt, Johnny Pierce, and Maxine Coughlin; and a host of other friends and family.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Damascus United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Private inurnment at Pine Mountain Cemetery in Bee Branch.
