Paul Mason, 97, of Batesville, Arkansas died Friday, November 27, 2015, in Batesville.
Born March 13, 1918, in Moorefield, Arkansas, he was the son of Charles A. Mason and Pernetta Jane Hunter Mason.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He worked at Mobley's Sawmill and Arkansas Poultry before his retirement. Paul loved spending time with his family and was a happy, outgoing ''people'' person. He enjoyed working in the yard, gardening, playing checkers and pool. He was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Batesville.
Survivors include his son, Kenneth Mason and his wife, Kathleen, of Batesville; stepson, David Beauchamp and his wife, Flora, of Jonesboro; daughters, Jane Martin and her husband, G.A., of Harrison and Paulette Reid and her husband, John, of Leadville, Colorado; stepdaughters, Delores Tharp and her husband, Jim, of Pomona, Missouri, Naomi Paul and her husband, Geary, of Locust Grove, Arkansas, and Sherita Johnson and her husband, Daniel, of Drasco, Arkansas; half-brothers, Junior Mason of Kansas, David Mason of Little Rock and Joseph Mason of Kansas; half-sisters , Charlene Mason of Little Rock, Alice Bryant of Kansas and Josephine Hawkins of Cord, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two spouses, Evyleen Scribner Mason and Dorothy Beauchamp Mason; two sons, Paul E. Mason and Archie R. Mason; brothers, Lewis Mason and Sidney R. Mason; and sisters, Lucille Bishop, Ellen Allen, Peggy Jean Mason, Cora Mason and Juanita Mason; and a half-sister, Sylvia Mason.
The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Roller-Crouch Chapel in Batesville with Daniel Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Mason, Hank Williams, Brandon Martin, Brandt McDonald, Caleb Martin and Josiah Martin.
Honorary pallbearers are Andy Scribner, Benny Bishop, Dan Scribner and Rick Garrett.
Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Newark under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015.
Fly high Uncle Paul ! you will be greatly missed in many ways by many people. You left foot prints across many hearts.

Paul left a good legacy. I am sorry he will be absent in body, but his Spirit is living on in Heaven.

This precious little man left a lasting impression on me the first time I met him in Dr Kuykendall's office. The bubbly joyful personality and his love for the Lord were something I will never forget. I know he is in Heaven now, singing and shouting.... And talking God's ears off!! I have known Paul for many years and he never had a bad word to say about anyone.
He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
