Jerry G. Jones, 75, of Cash passed away on Monday November 23, 2015 at Ridgecrest Nursing Center. He was born February 2, 1940 in Egypt, AR to the late Ralph and Cordia Parker Jones. Mr. Jones worked for Barton's from 1963 to 1974; Burke Hall from 1974 to 1978; opening his own construction company, Jerry Jones Paint and Construction, in 1978; and becoming co-owner of Cedar Creek Investments in 1995 until his retirement in 2015. He served in the U.S. Army, and loved golf and movies. He was of the Church of Christ belief. Mr. Jones was very proud that he never moved more than 7 miles away from his birth place.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 47 years, Barbra Allen Jones; and brothers, Dale Jones and Bobby Jones.

He is survived by four brothers, Bill Jones, Terry Jones, Jimmy Jones, and Danny Jones; son, Lance Allen Jones; a daughter, Jerri June Jones; grandchildren, Stefanie Hart, Alan and Barbra Thomas, and Whitney Jones-Chatman; 7 great grandchildren, Wyatt Hart, Dixie Thomas, Sawyer Hart, Everett Thomas, Connor Thomas, Sasha Chatman, and Georgia June Hart.

Funeral services will be 10 am Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will be private.

Visitation will begin at 9 am until time of service.

Ronnie Jones, Joey Graham, Phillip Barr, Jerry Felts, Joey Alexander and Glen Murphy will serve as pallbearers.

Dale Herring, Danny Foshee, J.T. Barr, Norman Lee and Shorty Ford will serve as honorary pallbearers.

I am so sorry for your loss, please accept my sincere condolences. May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to get rid of all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever. It is my sincere hope that these thoughts comfort your family at this time.

Jerri June and Stefanie I love you very much. Uncle Jerry was an amazing man. His family meant the world to him and he was so proud of all of you. I'm sorry I can't be there with you tomorrow.
