Dorman Dean Loftis, age 65 of Mountain Home,AR, passed away on Wed, Nov,11,2015.He was born Sept 5,1950, in Mountain Home,Arkansas to Raymond and Verdia Loftis. On August 26, 1972 ,he married the love of his life Sandra Lewis at Gassville,Arkansas.Mr.Loftis was a Vietnam Veteran serving proudly as a member of the 101st Airborne as a Army Ranger and was a recipient of two purple hearts during his military career. Mr.Loftis retired after 32 years from the U.S Postal Service.Mr.Loftis was a member of East Side Baptist Church for many years and served in many different capacities during his service to the church.He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, hike, and riding his 4-wheeler. He loved rooting on the Arkansas Razorbacks in many sports and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Sandra Loftis of Mountain Home, son- Shawn(Ebony-Scarlett)Loftis,Ozark,Mo, and daughter-April(David)Dover of Mountain Home,Arkansas.5 Grandchildren-Gracie,Jada,and Kylie Dover and Alexis and Peyton Loftis of Ozark, Mo. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services conducted by Reverend Dr. Chris Butler will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 13, 2015 at Roller Funeral Home. Interment with military honors provided by the Alley White American Legion Post #52 will follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home or the St.Judes Children's Hospital.
Sandy, Shawn, and April, our deepest sympathy to all of you in your loss. While living in Mtn. Home, all of you had a special place in our hearts. We know Dorman will always be with you three in your hearts.

Worked with Dorman at P.O. for 12 yrs. Always had everyone laughing at his good ole boy humor. When we heard his famous hoot-owl call in the mornings, we knew it was all good! A really nice man who would do anything for you. Missed him when he retired & the world is poorer for his passing.
Dorman and Sandra's Oklahoma family is saddened to here of his passing he will forever be in our hearts and prayers. Eskoye my friend. (Till we meet again)
