O.L.V. (Ovie) McCoy, 94, of Flint, Michigan, died Saturday, October 24, 2015.
O.V.L. was born in Quitman, Arkansas on November 1, 1920, the daughter of the late A.G. Branan and Gennettie McNair Branan. O.V.L. married Willie Own McCoy in November 1938 and lived on a farm in Quitman before moving to Flint in 1953. They were married for 59 years before he preceded her in death in 1999. She worked at Valley Linen Service and Durant Cleaners. She retired from Flint General Hospital as a medical clerk in 1982 then moved back to Arkansas. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, embroidery, quilting and especially playing games with the grandchildren. Ovie's family would like everyone to know her favorite color was red. She always had a smile on her face and never said a bad word about anyone. She moved back to Michigan to be with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are daughters, Brenda Morgan and Genette (Ray) Eurich, both of Flint; grandchildren, Cynthia Simpson, Yvette (scott) Karnibad, Bart Walworth, Brad (Christina) Walworth, Tony (Jennifer) Cook, Troy (Jeannie) Eurich and Brian Morgan; 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother William Otis Branan; sister-in-law, Vernell McCoy; and special nieces Anita, Patty and Karen and nephew, Kerry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; granddaughter, Lynette Cook; grandson, Matthew Simpson; three brothers; and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan. Visitation will be 1:00pm Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be 1:00pm, Friday, October 30, 2015, in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Quitman under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway (501)327-7727.
