Gazelle Mode, 90, of Conway passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015. She was born December 22, 1924 in Guy to the late Martin and Mary Presley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Mode, and her older brother, DeWitt Presley.
Gazelle graduated from Arkansas State Teacher's College and taught 5th and 6th grade for several years in Bigelow. She was a member of the Arkansas Quilter's Guild. She loved to quilt full time and teach quilting. She loved to travel and saw many parts of the world with her husband Leslie.
She is survived by her two sons, Gregory Thomas Mode and Donnell Neal Mode (Sherri), both from Conway; a granddaughter, Virginia Gazelle Mode, of Conway; two brothers, Jim Presley (Polly) and Martin Presley, both of Conway; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Mode Cemetery in Guy under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway

I am so sorry about your mother. She was one of the kindest people I have ever know. She was very smart and I loved teaching with her. She knew thread stitches more than anyone. I learned a lot from her. You are in my prayers.

Mrs Mode will be greatly missed. I enjoyed all the wonderful visits that I had with her. She was very special to me.
