of Harrison, AR
October 30, 1942 - October 7, 2015
Joyce Lane (Doshier) Bogle, age 72, of Harrison, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015. Faith, family, and friends defined Joyce. The only daughter of Ewell and Theda (Johnson) Doshier, she was born in Yellville, Arkansas October 30, 1942. Joyce grew up as an only child, but what she lacked in siblings, she made up for with many friends and cousins.
Joyce's lifelong love of music began at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church where she played the piano and sang with her Dad's quartet. She was a proud graduate of Yellville-Summit High School. She loved visiting with her classmates each year at Turkey Trot. After high school, Joyce moved to Harrison to work as an operator for Alltel, where she was a faithful employee for forty years.
Joyce married Jim Bogle in 1967 and had two children, Tammy and Shawn. She loved her church family at Woodland Heights Baptist Church and attended as often as her health would allow. As rheumatoid hampered her ability to get out and about, she continued her many friendships through phone calls and Facebook. She loved genealogy and researching her family's history. Joyce adored her 2 granddaughters, Lane and KateLynn, who will remember her for the best chocolate cake, gravy and biscuits, and tea parties. Joyce will be remembered for her bright smile. Many of her caregivers have commented that her smile often made them feel better.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; a baby brother, Wayne Dale; and her husband, Jim Bogle. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Bogle, of Springdale, Arkansas; her son, Dr. Shawn Bogle and his wife Angie, of Bruno, Arkansas; and two granddaughters, Lane and KateLynn.
Visitation was Friday, October 9, 2015, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church, Yellville, Arkansas, with Bro. Heath Kirkpatrick officiating.
Pallbearers were Cody Burrow, Bruce Trogdon, Mac Burks, Steve Jones, Joe Jones and Joe Couch.
Interment was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Fred Burrow, Highway 14 S, Yellville, AR 72687, or Woodland Heights Baptist Church, 515 S. Locust, Harrison, AR 72601.

So sorry to read of Joyce's passing. She was a sweet lady. Years ago we used to square dance with Joyce and Jimmy. And sometimes visit in each other's homes. Always enjoyed those times so much.
Prayers for Tammy and Shawn and family.
So saddened to hear the loss of Joyce. She has been a long time distant friend. We recently reconnected on Facebook and have enjoyed "getting caught up". We had so much fun together in Harrison while working at the telephone company with the Moore's. The group of all us enjoyed each others friendship and later as married couples. Tammy and Rhonda were best friends until we moved to Texas and still stay in contact with each other. Although we will be unable to attend her funeral, our heart and love goes out to Tammy and Shawn/family. We will be praying for God to grant you peace and comfort during this heartbreaking time in your lives. Joyce was a beautiful person inside and out. She will be solely missed. Loved her.
We are so very sorry to learn about Joyce. May God wrap His arms around your beautiful family.
We are so sorry for your loss. We knew Joyce and her family when we were all members of Northvale Baptist Church many years ago when our children were young. She was a very sweet lady and will be missed by all those that knew her.
Tammy, Shawn and family. I'm so sorry for your loss. Will keep you in my prayers.
