Alice K. Batson Ph.D., 86, of Conway passed from this life on Wednesday, September 23, 2015. She was born Tuesday, August 20, 1929 in Caneyville, Kentucky to Wilbur and Geneiva Kiper. Mrs. Batson was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church and a Professor of Nursing at Berea Collage in Berea, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Crouch.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Francis Batson, sons Stephen Batson (Elesha) of Conway, William Batson (Linda) of Colorado and Samuel Batson (Nancy) of South Carolina. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8pm Friday, September 25, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Crestlawn Memorial Park with Dr. Larry White officiating.
My wish for you is to be in heaven for their are no pain & cares, only happiness & you'll be with your loved ones that have gone.before - blessed day.
We are greatly saddened by this news. Both, Alice and Francis were the best neighbors any one could have. We cherish the time we had with them and missed them greatly when we moved and they moved to Arkansas. Francis and family will be in our continued prayers and thoughts.

Sorry to learn of the passing of Mrs. Batson. Both of you were tremendous neighbors to the Ponders of Goldenhead Drive, and we enjoyed getting to know you both as we grew. Prayers for you, your children and your grand children during this difficult time.
