Verna Elsie Sams, 85 of Hartman, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in Clarksville. Mrs. Sams was born, July 12, 1930 in Bass, Arkansas to Mr. Town W. and Zella (Davis) Dean. She is preceded in death by, her parents; one son, Allen Sams; and one Daughter, Patricia Hiland.
Mrs. Sams is survived by her husband, Max Sams; one daughter, Gail and Edger Best of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; two sons, Larry and Debra Sams of Hagarville, and Robert Sams of Hartman; one daughter in law, Laura Sams of Lamar; three sisters, Velma Mufflin of Scottsdale, Arizona; Floran Dean of Jasper, and Wilma Middleton of Mt. Judea; one brother, Kenneth and Frankie Dean of Deer; along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Sams will be 6:00 8:00 P.M. Thursday September 24, 2015 at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be graveside at 2:00 P.M. Friday September 25, 2015 at the Hickory Grove (Nail) Cemetery in Deer, with Bro. Don Collie officiating.
