We're so sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Helen graciously letting us invade their home as teens. I've always enjoyed her dry wit. She will be greatly missed.

So sorry that I missed the notice when it came out. Her passing from this life is a cause for mourning and her entry to the Lord's company a reason for celebration. So many great memories. Your whole family is still a part of this community. She fought the good fight and served the Lord and no longer suffers the pain of this world.

Thinking all of the family at this sad time. Mrs. Helen was a great neighbor to my Mother for 31 years and she really missed her when she moved to my home in Southaven, MS. My Mom has been gone since 2009, and I feel sure they will meet again someday. She was a very sweet lady to my Mom and me too.

Your mom was so very special to me when I started working with her in West Helena in 1970. She was a mentor and I have often quoted her to my college students. I always looked forward to her holiday card. She will always be in my heart. My sympathy is with you all.

Helena was a valued part of our community for many years and certainly did her part to make Helena a better place. She was in the first wave of independent women as part of the Southwestern Bell group. Always interested in what went on around her. She will be missed.

My heart goes out to you and my prayers for healing during this time of grief and sorrow.

A Better Place
Why am I crying?
Why do I feel so alone?
You left me now
To find a far better home.

I's a gentle journey...
A soft breeze on you sail,
To a place where fears and worries
No longer prevail.

It's a warm island in the sun
Where we all someday hope to be
With the Lord whom we love
And with all our family.

I beg the Lord each night in prayer
To take away my sorrow.
I pray he'll hear my cries at night,
And help me through tomorrow.

I will always think of you,
As each day appears.
My sorrow will softly lessen,
And gone will be the tears.

But my love will continue,
As each year goes by.
And I will wait for my calling
To once again be by your side.

Richard and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious mother, Ms. Helen. She brought such joy to me each time I was around her. She still will bring joy to me each day I get to spend with Richard as he has her beautiful, laughing eyes and hilarious sense of humor. He also has Ms. Helen's concern and pride in his community and church, and is the first one to be there in difficult times. Yes, her legacy will live on. She touched so many lives during her time here and those people will continue making a difference to others in honor of Ms.Helen. She will be missed and always loved.
