Matthew Brent Anderson, 33, of Batesville, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on May 4, 1982 and was the son of Gary Vaughn and Brenda Sue (Clark) Anderson. He graduated in 2001 from Cushman High School where he was named all state in basketball. Also on the track team, he won multiple state championships. He enjoyed spending time at White Buck Ranch with his friends, playing video games, and was an avid Razorback fan. He had a keen interest and was well versed in state and national politics and government. He was a giving person with a heart of gold. His daughters were the most important people in his life. He worked at Bad Boy Mowers and was a member of the Faith- Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his parents of Batesville; daughters, Presley Kate Anderson of the home and Abigail ''Abby'' Barber of Batesville; two brothers, Christopher Anderson and his wife, Mary, and Kyle Anderson and his wife, Celena, all of Batesville. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Ryan Clark Anderson; his paternal grandparents, Vaughn and Avis Anderson and maternal grandparents, Noah and Dean Clark.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rian Puckett and Wayne Wood officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery at Bethesda under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Travis Dockins, Jason Holt, Derrick King, Chris Pulley, Jeff Tosh, Tim Tosh, and Vinh Nguyen. Honorary pallbearers are his co-workers at Bad Boy Mowers.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service.

Memorials may be made to Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3895 Harrison Street, Batesville, AR 72501.

The past few years I had gotten the chance to get to know Matt . He was a great guy.
