Ellis Elmer ''Fuzz'' Fletcher Sr, age 85, of Benton, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. Being raised in Blackwell, he was born November 14, 1929 in Colfax, LA to the late James Edgar Bryant and Buena Elizabeth Finney. He was a retired supervisor at Jones Pallet Company in Benton and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mr. Fletcher loved studying the Bible, was an avid camper and fisherman, and loved sports. He also enjoyed going to the gym when he was able.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Gerald Lewis Bagwell and Sara Michelle Fletcher; two brothers, Jonathan Bryant and Archie Bryant, and two sisters, Willie Mae Stracener and J.N. Bryant.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Shirley Fletcher; three sons, Ellis Fletcher Jr. of Russellville, Morris DeWayne Fletcher (Carol) of Benton, and Robert Fletcher of Benton; two daughters, Nadine Ables (Bill) of Bryant and Ruth Ann Hood (Jimmy) of Bauxite; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one sister, Dorothy Gibson of Pineville, AR.
Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, August 24, 2015 at Social Hill Cemetery in Benton, AR with Bro. Doug Smith officiating. Mr. Fletcher's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, c/o Bishop Jared Dixon, 2650 Mt. View Road, Benton, AR 72019 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
