Wanda Faye Palmer, 75, of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015, in Lamar. She was born January 15, 1940, in Lamar to Mr. Jim and Edna (Pierce) Hale. Mrs. Palmer enjoyed sewing, flowers, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Palmer is preceded in death by her parents; and one brother Clifford Hale.
Mrs. Palmer is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Palmer; four sons, Willie and Cheryl Palmer, Jamie and Wendy Palmer, Michael and Faye Palmer, and Billy Ray Palmer; two daughters, Linda and Dale Freeman, and Betty and Leonard Marlow; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Velma and Bill Linam, Evetta Young, Nona and Charles Davis, and Ellen and Kenny Dougan; one brother, Jim and Mary Hale; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation for Mrs. Palmer will be6:00 8:00 P.M., Friday August 7, 2015, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home with Bro. Geno Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Holman Cemetery with Michael Palmer Jr., Trevor Palmer, Jeffrey Palmer, Jeremy Palmer, Jason Palmer, and Robert Marlow serving as pallbearers, and Jeff Hale, Steve Hale, Gerald Palmer, Jim Hale, and her Grandsons and Nephews serving as honorary pallbearers.
