James Alfred Nicholson, 82, of Clinton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. He was born December 5, 1932 in Formosa, Arkansas to Ira and Cora Sheets Nicholson.
He is preceded in death by his wife Zula Ward Nicholson, his sister Verna Nell Smith, and his parents.
Survivors include his children Cynthia (Mitchell) Hullum, Steven (Leanne) Nicholson, James (Lynn) Kimbell, Bobby Coggins, Lesley Coggins, Aaron Coggins and Anna Walthall. Other survivors include brothers Don Nicholson, Troy (Joyce) Nicholson and sister Mildred Harris, grandchildren James Hullum, Stephanie Nicholson, James R. Nicholson, Michael Wright, Stephen Martin, Ricky Kimbell, Dustin Kimbell, Jennifer Kimbell, Whitney Kimbell, Jason Kimbell and Dallas Kimbell. He also had 18 great grandchildren along with a large extended family who all loved him very much.
Alfred's greatest joy was his wife, Zula Ward Nicholson and their family. He also loved gardening and fishing. He was loved and respected by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton with Bro. Tommy Acton officiating. Burial will follow in Culpepper Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Graham, Lesley Coggins, Bobby Coggins, Wayne Nicholson, Gary Harris and Jeffrey Miller.
