Modean Luler Claypool, 90, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She was born June 18, 1925 in Centerville, AR to the late William Issac ''Ike'' and Ethel Underwood Cossey.
She loved baking for her family, collecting dolls, and cross stitching. She was devoted to her favorite charities, Disabled American Veterans and AR Children's Hospital.
Modean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul, Jr.; son, Paul Dean; daughter, Patsy Shenefield; grandsons, Christopher Claypool and Gordon G. Bryan; brothers, William and Bill Cossey; and sisters: Mary Foshee, Ruby Gray Johnson, and Gertrude Burk.
Survivors include her children: Lorine Capleaner, Shirley Rudder, Ernestine (Steve) Byrne, Violet (Gordon) Bryan, Allen (June) Claypool, and Michael (Patty) Claypool; sister, Allie Mae Sunseria; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family wants to send a special thanks to Baptist-Springhill Hospital staff and to Modean's granddaughter, Treasa Pennock, for the loving care she provided during Modean's illness.
Modean's life will be celebrated at a funeral service at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116, (501)791-7400. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot. The family will receive friends from 5:30 7:30 P.M., Monday at the funeral home.

My beautiful Aunt Modean we love you very much. You will truly be missed. You not only were a beautiful person but a God Send to all of us. Your laughter your beautiful smile. She always had a smile on her face. Always welcomed everyone into her home. You have made me realize how much family truly means. You just loved us all, no matter what.
