Lucy Betty Jane Hoke, 78, of Chunchula, AL passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015 at home. She was born January 21, 1937 in Lunsford AR, to Virgil and Mary Ellen Martin Passmore . She was retired from St. Bernard where she was a nurse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Loal; son, Victor E. Hanshaw; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne(Joyce) Hoke and David (Lana) Hoke of Tennesse; two daughters, Mary(Donnie) Adams of Jonesboro and Karen (Ron) Payne of Alabama; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; two brothers, Martin (Carol) Passmore, and Virgil (Martha) Passmore.
Chapel services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 28 with burial following at Pine Log Cemetery.
Bruce Primm and John Sawyer will be officiating. Gary Goad, Rick Goad, Michael Goad, Anthony Lusk, Tim Davis and Austin Young will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.

Happy Easter Mom! What a great place for you to be, up there with Our Father who died on the Cross for you & me!
I love you & I miss you every day! I am so glad & thankful that you moved down to Chunchula, AL with us over 7 years ago now. I'm glad that you had us & some family with you in your last years on this earth. I really tried to make your last months & days comfortable & peaceful...I hope I did that for you. I did not wish for you to pass away when you did, but I also did not wish or want for you to be in the pain you were in. So I hope you are pain-free now & have that new body we are promised when we get to Heaven!
I just wanted you to know that you are truly missed & I do think about you every day.
Make sure you give Dad & Gene-O a big hug from me....in between your & Aunt Zoe's domino game that is. smile emoticon

So sorry to hear the sad news about Aunt Lucy.
I can still hear my mom, Zetau, telling stories about the two of them when they were little kids.
I'm sure my mom and the other Passmore kids who re in heaven have welcomed her with opened arms and are catching up up on time passed.
