Carl F. Schmidt, 92, of Shirley, AR, passed away, Wednesday, July 22, 2015. He was born June 4, 1923 in Crown Point, IN to the late Henry and Mayme Schmidt.
Carl was also preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Bixenman.
Carl was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army, 552nd Ordinance heavy equipment wrecker crewman 529, served in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Central Europe, and Ardennes campaigns. He was a gentle, kind, Christian man, who enjoyed fishing and camping. Carl called Golden Pond RV Park his home.
Carl is survived by his special friends, Phillip Butts and wife, Courtney of Shirley, AR.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
