Carol Anderson, 66, of Batesville died Friday, July 17, 2015 at White County Medical Center in Searcy.
Born August 1, 1948 in Batesville, she was the daughter of Loyd Burns and Ravie White Burns.
Carol worked thirty years at Townsends and retired from ConAgra, having worked there eight years. She enjoyed working in her yard and vegetable and flower gardening. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for her beans and cornbread. She was of the Assembly of God faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathern Anderson Fisher of Batesville and Shirley Anderson of Abilene, Texas; two sons, Steve Anderson of Batesville and Roy Lee Anderson of Pryor, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Julie Butcher of Batesville, John Nathan Gillmore of El Paso, Texas, Natasha Newton, Ronnie Anderson, Carol Mae Hansen and Steven Anderson, all of Pryor, Rebekka Anderson, William Anderson and Devon Gfeller, all of Abilene, Annie Ballard and Jeanetta Anderson, both of Batesville; seven great-grandchildren, Brennan Butcher and Bailey Butcher, both of Batesville, C.J. Newton, Jewel Newton, Issac Newton and Lucas Newton, all of Pryor, and Nataley Brokaw of Batesville; four brothers, Harold Burns of Cave City, Roger Burns and Tom Burns, both of Batesville, and J.R. Burns of Cushman; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeeRoy Anderson; brother, Danny Joe Burns; and sister, Phyllis Burns Davis.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m.., Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at the Assembly of God Church in Cushman with Bro. Carl Blankenship officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Cushman under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.
Pallbearers will be John Nathan Gillmore, Ronnie Anderson, Steven Anderson, Daniel Butcher, Darrell White and Daniel Aldrich. Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Ray Burns, Jason Burns, Kenny Smith and William Anderson.
Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, July 20, 2015, at the funeral home.
I am sorry that Carol has gone. It is so hard losing someone from your life.
She was a friend of mine from years of living as close neighbors as children. We spent lots of years playing together and watching t v at their house.
I know she will be missed by everyone that knew her.
