Daniel Leroy Buie was born on Sunday, April 24, 1938, in Independence County, Arkansas to Buster Bomer Buie and Norma Florence Ewing Buie. He died on Friday, April 17, 2015 in Batesville, Arkansas at 76 years, 11 months, and 24 days of age.
He was employed many years with several businesses in Batesville, including overhead door sales/installation, welding, dump truck services, truck driver, diesel mechanic, jet engine mechanic and logging. He loved to hunt, fish, read, cook, and always had a pet dog. He also served in the United States Air Force, Tactical Fighter Squadron, with foreign duty served in Okinawa, Japan.
He is survived by a son, Terry Lee Buie and his wife, Cherie Nell Allen Buie of Batesville, a daughter, Sheri Anne Buie Cavaness and her husband, George Clayton Cavaness of Batesville, a sister, Nora Bell Buie VanMeter of Pharoah, Oklahoma, three grandchildren, Khara Danielle Cavaness, Ryan Anthony Buie, and Jeremy Andrew Buie, a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Buie, and nieces, Lana Buie Parker and Angela Buie Hunter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, William ''Bill'' Dawes Buie and Elmo ''Don'' Milo Buie, and a nephew, Donald Ray VanMeter.
There will be no service.
