M/SGT (Ret.) Bobby Joe Folsom passed away April 6, 2015 at the Lakewood Nursing and Rehab Center. in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born to Theodore and Bessie Miller Folsom on May 20, 1933 at Murfreesboro, Arkansas. He was 81 years old. He enlisted in the Air force in May of 1951, retiring June, 1973. He spent twenty-two years in the Air Force with one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam with the Air Commandos. He also retired from Target.

He is survived by his wife, Louise, of fifty-eight years; son, Teddy ( Valerie) Folsom of Sherwood, Arkansas; daughter, Kerrie (Lance) Woods of Bauxite, Arkansas; two grandsons, Cody and Travis Woods; one granddaughter, Taylor Folsom; sister, Donnie (Tom) Eubanks; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara (Bob) James; and nephew, Dane Smith.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 10150 Brockington Road, Sherwood, AR 72120.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Roller-Owens Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400). Graveside services will be Thursday, April 9, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. at the Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Will always miss that huge hug from Mr Folsom, his beautiful smile and heart warming laugh. The memories he allowed me to share with him, his family and my BFF are some of the best memories of my life!
