Betty Jo (Peerson) Cooper, age 86, of Harrison, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, April 01, 2015 at NARMC in Harrison. She was born in Snowball, Arkansas on September 17, 1928 to Glenn Thomas Peerson and Rue (Smith) Peerson.
Betty Jo was a member of the Union Baptist Church. She loved being a hair stylist in Harrison for over 30 years and enjoyed bird watching, sewing, needle crafts, painting and floral arranging.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Noah Cooper; a daughter, Judie Augusta Latimer; and one brother, Bobby Sam Peerson.
Survivors include one son, Bob Cooper of Harrison; daughter, Patricia Ervin and husband Jim, son-in-law, Wayne Latimer and her favorite and only grandchild, Lana Augusta Latimer, all of Springfield, MO; and special extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Betty Jo will be 10:00 AM Saturday, April 04, 2015 at Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas with Brother James Smithson officiating. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM preceding the service. Burial will be in Canaan Cemetery near Marshall, Arkansas. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Bob, I was very sorry to hear the news about your Mother. Being her caregiver for so many years showed how much you loved her, and she loved you. May God grant you peace during this time. I pray that knowing she is in not suffering anymore helps you through this process.

I loved my sister-in-law, Betty. I have many fond memories of her. She was a wonderful person and loved her family so much. There will be precious memories of her by many. My heart goes out to Bob, Pat and husband, and her granddaughter.
