James Nelson Haley, 73, of Sherwood, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015. He was born on June 1, 1941 to Carl Samuel and Viola Mae Fuller Haley in Piggott, Arkansas.
Nelson owned Hometown Advertising for twenty years, then worked in business as a truck driver for J.B. Hunt, from where he retired after 19 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith.
Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Samuel and Viola Mae Fuller Haley; a brother, Carl S. Haley, Jr.; a sister, Dolores J. Brewer; and a stepson, Michael Scott Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Carol Haley; son, Byron (Debbie) Haley; daughter, Debbie (Mark) Hardin; a stepson, Matthew Faith; nine grandchildren, Allen Hardin, Kristopher (Cami) Hardin, Jacob (Kristy) Haley, Grayson Haley, Michaela and Sarah Faith, Rusty Roberts, Tiffany (Joe) Warren, Tristen (Joey) Hester; and two great-grandchildren, Karley Hester and Jeremiah Warren.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Roller-Owens Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Arkansas (501-791-7400), with service following at 2:00 p.m., with Freddie Mark Wilcox officiating.
