Bud Westbrook, 94, of Pleasant Plains, Arkansas died Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at his residence.

Born December 18, 1920, in McCurtain County, Oklahoma, he was the son of Thomas Russell Westbrook and Nellie Blackburn Westbrook.

He was U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and served in the Philippines, New Guinea, Australia and New Zealand as a military policeman.

He enjoyed farming, taking care of his cattle and hunting. He was a wonderful husband and father, loved his grandchildren and was dedicated to the Lord. He was a member of Flippo Chapel Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Addie Denniston Westbrook; a son, Ronnie Westbrook and his wife, Linda, of Pleasant Plains; a daughter, Dianne Tharp and her husband, Terry, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Rhonda Lynn Arnold, Rickie James Westbrook and his wife, Sara, all of Pleasant Plains, Angela Barthol of Cabot, Arkansas and Matthew Sharp of Batesville, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, J. T. Westbrook of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Frank Westbrook of Nashoba, Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters; two brothers; and a great-grandchild, Scotty Wyann Piker.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Flippo Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Verlon Wood and Joe Helms officiating.

Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery at Pleasant Plains under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Robert Beel, Ernie Price, Wendell Westbrook, Mark Carpenter, Michael Price, and Brian McCord.

Honorary pallbearers are Joey Hayes and Darrell Grady.

Visitation is from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the church prior to the service.
