Leo D. Langrell, 79, of Quitman, AR, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was born September 15, 1935 in Cleburne County, AR to the late Herman Langrell and Martha Lorene Langrell. Leo was also preceded in death by his sister Willie Mae Langrell-Rice, son, Kenneth Wayne Langrell and great grandson, James Hayes Langrell.
Leo was a long time member and served as a Deacon at Cedar Heights Baptist. Later after his retirement he attended Flat Rock Missionary Baptist Church and served as a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. Leo was self-employed and owner and operator of Langrell Custom Welding Inc. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Leo was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to many.
Leo is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Verdarhea Langrell, grandson, Justin Wayne Langrell and wife Michelle and great-granddaughters, Zoe Lynn Johnson, Haleigh Valentine and Abbi Valentine.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3rd at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier (501) 679-2575, with Pastor Preston Kelso officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Rock Cemetery in Quitman. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Langrell, Clay Thompson, Tim Skinner, Tony Skinner, Bobby Morgan, Kevin Kendrick, and Kyle Kendrick. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Verdarhea, I remember Leo well from back when I was growing up. He was a wonderful person & always so kind. I am saddened to learn of his passing, as we need more men like him in this world.
