Winna Ruth Bradford McKnight Lefler, age 81, of Conway, went peacefully to her home in heaven on Tuesday, February 17, at Conway Regional Hospital in Conway, Arkansas, with her loving family by her side. Winna Ruth was born on May 12, 1933 to Clofus Hardin Bradford and Ola Mae Boyd Bradford in Morganton, Arkansas. She was a Christian and of the Methodist faith.
Winna Ruth graduated from South Side High School, Bee Branch, AR, and Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway. After graduation, she married Lonnie Wayne McKnight and they began a career in teaching for South Side School District, Bee Branch. Winna Ruth retired after a 28 year long career teaching third grade. She was content living the simple life and was an inspiration to many who knew her. Winna Ruth was a member of the Arkanas Teacher Retirement System and Arkansas Retired Teachers Association. She loved watching her granddaughters play volley ball and was very proud of them.
Winna Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Lonnie Wayne McKnight, her second husband, Dickie V. Lefler, brother-in-law, Edward McKnight, and sister-in-law, JoAnn Kerr. She leaves beautiful memories to cherish to her daughter, Susan Nan Dear (Steve) and granddaughters, Lauren Dear and MacKenzie Dear of Conway, brother-in-laws, Thomas ''Bud'' McKnight (Lavelle) of Clinton, Jimmy Sellars (Etta Lou) of Mountain View, MO, and Edwin Kerr (Jan) of Bee Branch; sister-in-laws, Betty Ann Grumbles of Damascus, and Lonette McKnight of Sterling, IL; special cousins, Sharon Johnson (Terry) of Jacksonville, Carrol Dee Bradford (Jody) of Bee Branch, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff in CCU at Conway Regional Hospital who took wonderful care of Winna Ruth during the past several weeks.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, Arkansas. Funeral service will be on Saturday, February 21, 2105 at 1:00 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Hardin Cemetery in Bee Branch, AR. Jeff Johnson, Jon Johnson, Jason Johnson, Jeremy Johnson, Steve McKnight, and Carrol Dee Bradford will serve as pallbearers.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to Hardin Cemetery Fund, c/o Charlotte Ward, 349 Long Lane, Bee Branch, Arkansas 72013.
Susan just watched the video. Your mom was so pretty and you look just like her.

I was in Mrs. McKnight's third grade class in 1960 and have never forgotten her.
Susan and Family, We are sorry for the loss of Winna Ruth. She and I were the same age. Had our Birthdays in May. Always enjoyed being around her. She brought her Mother for Income tax for many a year. May our good Lord welcome her with open arms.
