Charles ''Pappy'' Wimberly, 92, of Conway, Arkansas passed away February 9, 2015. He was born on July 15, 1922 in Cabot, Arkansas to the late James T. and Eleanor Fish Wimberly.
Charles was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Conway. He and his wife, Mary Kathryn were active members who faithfully attended the 8:00AM early service. Charles retired from the US Army after twenty years of service.
Charles enjoyed going to Hot Springs to the horse races where he loved watching the horses run.
He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grand kids and great grand kids.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 73 years, Mary Kathryn ''Mammy'' Wimberly.
Charles is survived by one son; Ricky Wimberly (Deborah) of Milligan College, Tennessee, one daughter; Cherry White (Jerry) of Conway, two grandchildren; Missy Predmore (Jeff), and Jay White (Kris), and five great grandchildren; Ryan, Rusty, and Kathryn Predmore, and Bryan and Tyler White.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with Dr. Dale Wicker officiating.
