Along with so many others, I have appreciated so very much Spike's devotion and hard work for the Johnson County Fair. He was such a cheerleader for all things kids were involved in, and was the 'go to' guy if you needed anything during fair time. He passed away while I was out of the country, and I came back to find that the Fairgrounds had lost a little luster. The Johnson County Master Gardeners will all feel the loss for a long time. Just one more hug, big guy.

Thankful for the wonderful relationship between our families for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl, Spike would walk around with Dene hanging on one leg and me on the other. Spike always gave the best hugs...many sweet memories!!

. He was always willing to help and had a laugh or smile for everyone. The fair was his passion and he will be missed. He was a teacher to all and really enjoyed the young people by his supporting and encourging ways. We appreciated the opportunity to get to know him and work with him

Mr. Spike was a great man. I enjoyed setting up at the fair and talking to him thru out the week. The fair will not be the same this year without him. My prayers are with Corey and the rest of the family.
