Lois M. McKenzie went to meet her Lord in Heaven on January 1, 2015 at the home of her daughter in Conway, AR. She was born May 24, 1932 in Jasper, MO.
Preceded her in death, were her parents Lewis H. Edwards and Goldie F. (Phipps) Edwards, husband Wood McKenzie, 6 brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker and Home Care Assistant. Lois was of Christian faith and a member of the Gap Mission Church.
Survivors include 5 children, daughter, Kathleen Osborn of Mt Vernon, MO., two sons, Reverend Lewis (Skipp) Smith of Conway and Lester Smith of Russellville, daughter, Sharon Walker and husband Art of Conway, daughter, Alice Grider also of Conway, two brothers, David Edwards of Carl Junction, MO, Moon Edwards of Oklahoma, two sisters, Vera Seemann of Cherryville, KS and Jewel Osborn of Joplin, MO. Ms. McKenzie had 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Gap Mission Church, with Pastor Jarla Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to Noon Monday at the church.
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Lois. Thank you for posting this so I could learn of it.
We are so sorry for your loss, She was a sweet person. Mom enjoyed working with her and she let me stay with her when I needed a place. Love you Lois. God bless bless you all

She was sweet lady and she loves everyone. I know she love me and I love her and I miss her. I loved to work with her at Soul Food Cafe Mission. She said you are my granddaughter and she tell most people that I was marrying to her grandson.
I will really miss your Mother, she was a great lady and always so sweet to my daughter and I.
