Patricia Fern Reddell

of Harrison, AR

September 7, 1935 - December 20, 2014

Patricia Fern Norton Reddell, age 79, of Harrison, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born September 7, 1935 at Jasper, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Judge Howard and Ola Middleton Norton. She lived most of her life in Newton County Arkansas. Pat was a graduate of Mt. Judea High School. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri to find employment. She worked at Sears Roebuck and a small defense plant.

Pat met her husband Robert Vincent Reddell in Kansas City, even though they were both from Newton County Arkansas. They lived there 10 years and had two daughters, Marsha and Tamara.

In 1963, they moved back to Arkansas where they were co-owners of the Ozark Cafe in Jasper. She later went to work as a dental assistant for Dr. J. Lex Moore DDS at Harrison. Pat also was a teacher's assistant in the Jasper Public Schools.

Pat, Robert, and the girls were overjoyed when they had a son William Robert.

Pat retired from the Newton and Boone County Department of Public Health. She loved people and the many aspects of her life.

After their children finished college, she and Robert liked to travel on bus tours with family and friends and to Southern Texas during the winter months, where they were called ''snow birds''.

She liked reading her Bible, fishing, camping, floating the Buffalo, and southern Gospel singing.

Pat dearly loved her children and grandchildren and taught them to Love the Lord. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Jasper and the First Baptist Church of Harrison.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years. She is survived by two daughters, Marsha (Tony) Horton, Tamara (Jerry) Allen all of Harrison, one son, Bob (Tanya) Reddell of Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was Nana to Dawn Allen-Williams, John Allen, Austin Reddell, Tori Horton, Laken Reddell, and Anna Reddell; and four great-grandchildren, Dawson, Jeri, Keri, and Mallori. Also, survived by sisters Joy Burdine of Vendor, Sue Geren of Harrison and brother Don Norton of Jasper.

Visitation was Monday, December 22, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life was Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Harrison with Reverend Vernon Cooper and Reverend Rob Davis officiating. A Celebration luncheon followed the service.

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom and Nana.I have witnessed first hand, just how special she was to your family. I first got to know her when they were here helping build your house and she would come here and pick the
I kids up. They were always so excited to see her. I love you guys so much and I hurt because I know how badly you hurt.

Bob & family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. This time of year makes the loss a little harder for family, but such a blessing for your mom. I'm sure Heaven is rejoicing for the newest angel. May you find peace during this difficult time.

Family we are so saddened to her of Pat's passing. She was a sweet and beautiful lady who loved her family and friends very much. I don't think I ever met her when she didn't have one of the prettiest smiles a person can have.
