Ms. McKinney, you were truly one of the best teachers I ever had. I still remember the definition of what an epic poem is all these years later from when you taught us The Odyssey my freshman year of high school ("A long story, told in poetry, that relates the great deeds of a larger than life hero who embodies the values of a particular society"). It was largely due to your influence that I decided to major in English in college and subsequently go to law school. Thank you for touching so many lives with your love of literature and your amazing sense of humor. You will be missed.
An Angel Above
A contagious laugh and a smile so bright
You were so beautiful in everyone’s sight
The number of lives you touched was so great.
I love and miss you to the moon and back.
Until we meet again, I Love You!

Such an amazing teacher. Her love for Literature lives on thru the students she taught. Made me see books as a lovely past time rather than as an assignment. And her wicked little sense of humor will be a thing I never forget. She wld have the entire class rolling and she would never crack a smile, fully knowing that what she had just said was incredibly funny. Her beauty and elegance was a thing to be admired. She will be greatly missed.
Isaac, I'm so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was a favorite teacher of mine, like so many other students at BHS. I always enjoyed her humor and remember laughing most of my 9th grade year in her class. She will be missed by so many. I'm praying for you and your family. God Bless.

You were so loved, by so many, let such an extraordinary life, you rose above so much Heartache, So much Pain, you raised a beautiful son, and welcomed a new life into this world. I cherish every memory of you, Of our adventures. How close we came to Hell, and how we escaped it all. I give you to the Angels now, for you are free of this world, and the pain that is left. Mrs. McKnney you were the greatest!! Your English class my freshman year was probably one of the only classes I passed. I never knew how beautiful poetry could be.... until you. I enjoyed everyday of your class, every lesson, every assignment, every movie and even your funny sense of humor. You taught me to express myself through words on paper. You never judged... not a single time. I will remember you everytime I write about my husband, children, family, lost loved ones and new experiences. Thank you for opening our eyes... You will be greatly missed!
RIP Ms. McKinney, you will be missed.
Jenny made learning fun and was there for me when I was bullied in junior high. She stood by my side and helped me through it. I am saddened with this loss but grateful to have crossed paths with this angel! Love you Jenny and deepest sympathy to the family.

Had it not been for you and your 9th grade English class I would not be where I am today. I thank you for being such an incredible teacher and hope your family knows what major impact you had on so many students. God has gained such an intelligent and beautiful angel...
