December 30, 1943 - November 28, 2014

Calvin Raines, 70, of Pitts Community, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 28, 2014 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born December 30, 1943 to John H. Ward and Lucy Raines in Newport. Mr. Raines was retired from Noranda. He was a member of Pitts Baptist Church and he loved hunting and fishing.

Mr. Raines was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: His wife, Patricia Ann Smith Raines; sons Rick (Reginia) Raines, Joey (Laurie) Raines; grandchildren, Cody (Hannah) Raines, Tyler Raines, Colten Raines, Tara Raines, James Bishop, Amanda Kimble, Dustin Bishop and Danny Moore; great grandchildren, Kaylin Joiner, Zailie Joiner, Austin Riley, Laila Jennings, Lexie Moore, Conner Raines, Cash Moore and Jaxon Raines; brother, Wayne Raines.

Funeral service will be at the Pitts Baptist Church, Thursday, December 4 at 10:00 AM with Bros. John Pollard and John Worsham officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3 from 6-8PM at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home in Weiner. Burial will be at Walker Cemetery. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home will be in charge of services.

I loved this man with all of my heart! I have nothing but fond memories of Calvin and I will never ever forget him. My prayers are with you Sissy and Ricky. May the gentle mercy that God has always shown be with you now so you will know that you are not alone. I love you and will continue to pray for your loss.
