Zelbert (Zeb) Villines, age 92, of Kingston, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at his residence, with his family by his side. He was born May 4, 1922, at Low Gap, Arkansas, the son of James Sherman and Laura Janie (Arbaugh) Villines. Zeb lived in Newton County until 1978. He worked as a logger, saw miller and farmer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and Bee keeping. Zeb married Enard Luper at The Dalls, Oregon July 26, 1944.
Mr. Villines was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jerry Lee Villines and Bradley Kevin Villines; his grandson, Gary Don Whiteley; his great-grandson, Trace Trammell; and three brothers, Arie, Lester and Bob Villines; and daughter-in-law, Earlene Villines.
Zeb is survived by his wife of 70 years, Enard Pauline Villines, of the home; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Gary & Debbie Villines of Harrison, Ark., Ronnie & Janet Villines of Harrison, Ark., and Dwayne & Phyllis Villines of Kingston, Ark.; his daughters and sons-in-law, Judy & Bill Whiteley of Berryville, Ark. and Paulette & Johnnie Thompson of Huntsville, Ark.; his daughter-in-law, Phyllis Villines, of Sonora, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many friends.
Visitation was Friday, November 28, 2014, from 6-8 PM, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Saturday, November 29, 2014, at Elkhorn Full Gospel Church, with Brother Donnie Villines officiating.
Burial was in Plumlee Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Ronnie Whiteley, Johnnie Alan Thompson, Mikel Paul Thompson, Clayton Villines and Jagger Wilson, and nephew, Hillard Villines.
Honorary Pallbearers were granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
